Size

How many people will your Hot Spring host? Social butterflies will need more seats than people who are looking for a more intimate escape.

Location

Consider where you might want to place your hot tub, then check how much space you have, ease of access, and the ability to power and drain your machine.

How big is a 2-person hot tub?

Every hot tub in the Hot Spring® range is capable of fitting at least two people.

The smallest is the two-person Mini™, which measures 183cm (L) x 119cm (W) x 71cm (D). Three- and four-seater models are also popular with couples, as they offer a little more space and an extra seat for entertaining. A machine like the three-seater Jetsetter™ LX, for example, has a footprint of 213cm x 165cm.

As a general rule, ‘compact’ hot tubs measure less than 215cm long or wide.

How to find the perfect hot tub size

Ensuring your hot tub has at least two seats is simple enough, as every Hot Spring® model ticks that box. But other hot tub size considerations include:

  • Setting your budget, as bigger spas cost more.
  • Ensuring you have enough seats and space if you plan to entertain.
  • Finding your preferred spot and checking the space you have to work with.

How much does it cost to run a 2-person hot tub?

It makes sense that smaller hot tubs will cost less to run, as there’s less water to heat and treat. But ongoing costs can vary even between different two-person hot tubs, mostly die to energy efficiency.

Independent testing has shown we offer Australia’s most energy efficient hot tubs, with running costs as low as $1 a day. We achieved this through a number of innovative features:

  • High end insulation: Our fully insulated hot tubs keep the warmth in so your heater doesn’t have to work as hard.
  • Insulated covers: Hot air rises, so we’ve also insulated our covers to keep more of that heat in.
  • Hot air induction jets: This innovation sees the heat from the hot tub’s internal machinery recycled into the water.
  • Clever water care: The FreshWater® Salt System keeps your water fresher for longer while using fewer chemicals.

Are cheap hot tubs worth it?

The short answer is no. Cheap hot tubs tend to cost more in the long run, as they have higher running costs and don’t last as long.

Your hot tub purchase is an investment, and by choosing a Hot Spring®, you’ll get a machine that will pay itself back over time. Get in touch with the Hot Spring® Melbourne team for a quote today.

Between the warmth of the water and the action of the hydromassage jets, your hot tub loosens tight muscles and reduces inflammation.

The Hot Spring® Difference

With the potential for four seasons on any given day, the right conditions for water-based fun can prove elusive in Melbourne... unless you enjoy total control over your environment. In a Hot Spring hot tub that’s exactly what you get. You’ll enjoy precise temperature control that creates an oasis on those cool Melbourne evenings, luxurious hydromassage to wick away the stresses of living in Australia’s biggest city, and a device-free place for you to connect with your loved ones.

Here’s why Hot Spring® hot tubs are built different.
